Understanding Clarity
Clarity is WellPath's honest answer to one question: how much of your biology can we actually see right now? It's the difference between a careful estimate and a real measurement. It's also the meter that every step of setup is quietly moving.
What Clarity measures
Two things, together: how much we know, and how current it is.
WellPath could know a lot about your biology: every marker, across labs, biometrics, and body data. How much do we have real data for? That share is your Clarity. A fuller picture means scores you can lean on.
Data ages. Each marker is Fresh, Aging, or Stale depending on how recently it was measured. A lab from two years ago tells us less than one from last month, and Clarity reflects that.
Measured vs estimated
This is the honest part, and it's the whole point.
Where WellPath has real data, whether that's a lab result, a wearable reading, or something you logged, it uses it directly.
Where it doesn't, it estimates from your characteristics and behaviors. It's a reasonable starting guess, but still a guess. Clarity shows you which is which, so you always know how much to trust a number.
The rule: more measured data means higher Clarity means more trustworthy scores. Estimates get you a useful starting picture on day one, and real data makes it yours.
How you raise it
Everything you connect or log moves the meter.
Connect Apple Health: pulls in steps, workouts, sleep, and heart data automatically.
Connect Health Records: imports real lab results from your providers. It is the single biggest jump in blood-lab coverage.
Log your day: food, water, sleep, workouts, and weight keep your picture fresh where no device is watching.
Labs & biometrics from your clinician: if a clinician manages your care, the labs and measurements they enter fill in the clinical side.
Why it's low when you start, and that's fine
On day one, Clarity is low. That's expected: WellPath is estimating you from your characteristics because it hasn't seen your real data yet. As you connect Apple Health, import your labs, and log your days, watch it climb. That rise is WellPath moving from guessing about you to knowing you, and your scores get more trustworthy with it.
